What does NICKEL FREE mean?
Nickel-Free plating. Nickel-Free Plating is a type of hypoallergenic plating. Nicke is a highly durable metal that holds its color well and has a reasonable price tag; understandably why it is one of the most popular materials of choice for jewelry manufacturers. Unfortunately, some people are sensitive to it.
Why is NICKEL FREE important?
When the plating or overlay wears, even microscopically, and allergic reaction to the nickel in the base metal can occur. Nickel is in a majority of metal items we use because it is inexpensive and adds durability as well as luster to other metals.
What kind of jewelry is nickel free?
Make sure your jewelry is made of surgical-grade stainless steel or either 14K, 18K or 24 Karat yellow gold. White gold may contain nickel. Other nickel-free metals include pure sterling silver, copper, platinum and titanium.
Does nickel free tarnish?
Niobium is 99.99% pure. It does not react to skin chemistry, and will never corrode or tarnish. It is the safest metal for allergy sufferers to wear. It does not corrode, does not tarnish, and in its pure state, is totally non-allergenic.
What is Rhodium Plating?
Rhodium is a precious metal, a member of the platinum family. Rhodium electroplating is used, especially on jewelry, to provide a surface that will resist scratches and tarnish, and give a white, reflective appearance. Rhodium Plating is most often found on white gold. The term white gold is something of a misnomer.

My new favourite things.. I LOVE hats and scarves and snuggly stuff, and own many scarves, so I originally intended to buy this just as a present, but bought myself one too. The size is just right. Its not too thick and scratchy like some woollen ones are, yet its thick enough to keep me warm. Even though its only made of acrylic and not expensively made, it feels nice and I love the colours too. I am now about to buy another one in the wine red tartan style.

I was hoping the color would be more Purple/Brown like described in the ad but lilac is acceptable to me as I love all purpled, just know the color in the ad is darker than what you’re gonna get I get lots of compliments and it washes well (still as soft as a fleece blanket)
